UNI PUMP

DESIGNATION AND PROPERTIES. UNI PUMP 1000/1500 can be used to pump water or to actuate canister filters and other aquarium devices (sterilizers, coolers, skimmers, etc.). Thanks to its watertight design, the pump can operate sub-merged in water; alternatively, it can be used as a straightway pump out of the water. The device is suitable for use in fresh water and seawater alike. Its advantages include a smalf size, low power consumption, quiet operation, and easy installation.

CONDITIONS OF SAFE USAGE

The devide you purchased was manufactured in conformity with all safety standards currently in force on the area of European Union. For long lasting and safe usage please read the safety con-ditions below:

1. Important! Read carefully before use. Keep for future reference. Read this operating and installation manual carefully before every installation and activation of the device.

2. The device may only be voltage specified on thi powered from the mains with the rated device.

3. Do not operate a device that has malfunctioned or one with a damaged power cord. The power cord is non-detachable and cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged, the device must be discarded.

5. The pumps can only be used for liquids of temperature up to 35°C. Flammable and food liquids must not be pumped using these pumps.

6. This device can be operated by children who are at least eight years of age, by persons with reduced physical or mental capabilities or persons with no prior experience with the device only under supervision or following an instruction on the safe operation of the device to ensure that the person is aware of any associated risks. The device is not a child's toy! Do not let children to clean or perform maintenance on the device without supervision.

INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE.

Installation of the pump is facilitated by two suction cups holders that serve to attach the device directly to the tank wall (on the inside or outside). The inlet and outlet connections are suitable for hoses with a diameter of 16/22 mm. In order to ensure the tightness of connections, tighten the nuts that secure hoses to the hose connections.
The pump rotor requires regular cleaning in order to remove any dirt that may accumulate in the rotor chamber. For this purpose, after the device has been disconnected from the mains, unscrew the pump cover by rotating it anticlockwise, remove the rotor casing, which in most cases will be removed together with the shock absorber and the rotor shaft, take out the rotor, next clean the rotor and the rotor chamber using a soft brush. Caution! The ceramic rotor shaft is relatively fragile and prone to breaking when bent. For this reason, one should exercise caution when removing the rotor casing and the rotor shaft itself. When cleaning the interior of the UNIPUMP 1000 pump, clean the blue pawl near the rotor chamber very thoroughly.
If the pump is installed outside the aquarium tank as a straightway pump, the seal must undergo regular maintenance consisting in its cleaning and lubrication with petroleum jelly or silicone grease. It is recommended that the seal be replaced with a new one at least every three years.
The set includes a reducer for the installation of filter connecting pipes.
ATTENTION! To prevent flooding, do not use the reducer as part of connections located outside the aquarium tank (out of the water)!
If the device operates inside the aquarium tank, submerged in the water, it is recommended that sponge pre-f liters be installed on the pump inlet in order to protect the pump rotor and the rotor chamber from possible fouling.
If the pump is installed outside the aquarium tank as a straightway pump, it is recommended that the seal under the rotor casing should undergo regular maintenance consisting in its thorough cleaning and lubrication with petroleum jelly.

DISASSEMBLY AND DISPOSAL. It is forbidden to dispose of used electric and electrical equipment in a trash bin.
Segregating and proper utilization of this kind of waste leads to conserving the resources of natural environment The user is responsible for delivering the used product to a specialized collection point where it will be accepted free of charge. You can obtain information about such a facility at the local authorities at the product seller.

GUARANTEE CONDITIONS. The manufacturer grants a 24 month guarantee beginning on the date of purchase. The guarantee covers defects arising from manufacturer fault i.e. defective materials or assembly errors. It does not cover damage due to user's fault caused by improper handling of the device or using the device for purposes discordant its destination.
Attention: any modification or disassembly attempt exceeding normal usage and maintenance cause the guarantee void. In case of noticing improper operation of the device send it with filled out warranty card to the manufacturer or distributor address. The conformity of the production date stamped on the product and written in the guarantee card is a prerequisite for accepting the guarantee. The following warranty conditions do not exclude, limit or suspend user's rights derived from discrepancy of the merchandise with the agreement. The guarantee is limited to repair or replacement of the unit only and does not cover consequential loss or damage to animate or inanimate objects.
