Purpose and scope

The gas burner is used as an autonomous source of thermal energy.

Designed for melting and welding glass and plastic products, including plastic pipes, synthetic cords and cables. For working with low-melting metals and alloys (lead, tin, zinc, copper, aluminum, gold, silver, etc.), in particular for their soldering and welding.
For heating various objects, for example, to facilitate loosening of threaded connections; for defrosting locks. For removing old paint. For kindling a fire (fireplace, bonfire) in damp weather or in the absence of dry firewood.

The energy carrier for the burner is a conventional gas cylinder with a holder ring. The burner creates a stable flame with a temperature of about 1300 ° C, not exposed to wind and rain.

Instructions for use

Before work, inspect the product for visible mechanical damage. Keep the work area clean and free from obstructions. Provide good lighting for your work area. Hold the instrument so that it cannot fall out of your hands.

Connecting the burner to the gas cylinder
• Use a cylinder with a collet connection (bayonet)
• Make sure that the gas cylinder is suitable for the burner.
• For connection, use cylinders with quality liquefied gas.
• Make sure that the burner is off - the gas valve is tightened in the “off” direction, there is a “-” sign on the gas regulator
• Shake the cylinder several times to create better pressure in it and therefore to properly supply gas to the burner.
• Holding the canister in one hand, gently and firmly align and connect the burner retainer with the slot on the retaining ring on the canister with the other.
• Make sure the tip is firmly attached to the cartridge.
• Turn the burner clockwise relative to the cylinder as far as it will go.
• Disconnection of the nozzle must also be carried out with the valve closed in reverse order.

• Always use protective gloves and appropriate tools for work involving elevated temperatures.
• Be careful with the burner nozzle as it can become very hot when using the burner. Take precautions to protect yourself and others from accidental burns. Never use the burner near flammable materials.
Be especially careful around cars and any flammable products, and beware of various containers with flammable materials.
• To avoid the risk of accidental overturning of the tool, ensure that the gas cylinder with the torch is stable.
• When defrosting pipes, be careful not to overheat the heated pipe or nearby materials.
• Always keep a fire extinguisher or a bucket of water close to work. Do not place them where you cannot reach them quickly in the event of a fire.

Attention!!! Flammable, the gas cylinder is under pressure.
Keep container away from heat and fire. Do not refill the gas cylinder. Always get a new one after the bottle has run out. Keep the cylinder out of the reach of children. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight. Do not store the cylinder in living rooms and in rooms with high temperatures. Always close the burner valve and wait at least 30 seconds before disconnecting the cylinder. Always remove the cylinder after use. Do not breathe gas, smoke, vapor or aerosol. If the gas enters the respiratory tract, remove the affected person to fresh air. Avoid contact with eyes and skin with liquefied gas. In case of contact with skin, rinse with plenty of water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately and thoroughly and seek medical attention. If the bottle is empty, put it in a safe place. Do not dispose of in fire. Do not puncture or ignite the can.

Attention: After finishing work on the burner, close the gas supply regulating valve as far as it will go. After the burner has cooled to inoperative, turn the gas cylinder counterclockwise relative to the burner body, then lay the burner and gas cylinder apart from each other. Pay attention to the warnings on the gas bottle label.

Ignition and Operation
Use only high quality butane or propane gas cylinders. Make sure the on / off control is in the off position. Shake the gas cylinder several times to evenly supply gas to the burner. Turn pressure regulator counterclockwise 2/3 of one turn. Make sure that the gas comes out of the burner nozzle and ignite it using a piezoelectric element, or with a lighter (if there is no piezoelectric element in the product design). Do not turn the gas regulator too much, as the gas supply force will be too great and it will be difficult to ignite the burner. The duration of continuous operation should not exceed 90 minutes. After this time, allow the burner to cool down for 15 minutes.

Attention! A propane gas cylinder contains liquid propane. If the burner with the cylinder is suddenly moved, tilted or turned over, liquid can enter the valve, which can cause a flash or damping of the flame. To avoid this, adjust the flame length to 1/4 of the maximum burner flame length, allow the burner to warm up for 3 minutes, and then smoothly adjust the required combustion level. Make sure the burner is cool before attaching or removing the burner head.
Cold temperature operation:
In cold weather, the size of the flame will be smaller. To obtain a larger flame, wait until the burner with the cylinder has reached room temperature before using the burner. Remember that there is a good chance that the flame will go out if the burner is turned upside down.

Adjusting the temperature
To obtain the maximum combustion temperature, adjust the length of the internal (blue) flame of the burner from 3.5 to 5 centimeters. Adjust the auxiliary air valve (if available on this model) to obtain the desired total flame length.

Switching off
To switch off the burner, turn the gas regulator downwards until it stops. The gas supply stops and the burner stops heating. Wait for the product to cool completely.

Maintenance
Since the gas contains a small amount of impurities, it is necessary to periodically clean the gas nozzle. To do this, turn off the gas regulator, make sure that the gas nozzle has cooled down, and inject liquefied gas directly from the gas cylinder into the gas nozzle. Moisture and dirt can damage the instrument. Store the product 8 in a dry place, away from sources of heat.
